Dr. J Reece Blincoe is beginning his fourth year as a superintendent in Colorado and 15th in total, including the 11 years he served as a superintendent in Texas. Dr. Blincoe began his career in education as an agriculture science instructor where he taught construction trades, welding and animal sciences. From the beginning of his career, Dr. Blincoe focused on workforce readiness and development. Dr. Blincoe went on to serve as a career and technology director. He guided career and workforce development in health science, agriculture, building trades, welding, automotive, business and entrepreneur development, architecture and engineering, and culinary arts.

As a superintendent, Dr. Blincoe has specialized in improving academic performance, facilities construction and renovations, career and technical education, and school leadership. Dr. Blincoe earned his Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Education, his Master’s degree in Education Administration and his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas, Austin.

In his free time Dr. Blincoe enjoys hiking in the mountains with his dog, Bernie, riding mountain bikes and fly fishing.
